Purpose Of Processing
Heimdall processes data to provide access control, operate monitoring checks, display operational status, send alerts, and keep the system secure.
Processed Data
Processed data can include whitelisted login email addresses, authentication cookies, one-time login token metadata, configured monitor names and URLs, website/DNS/IP check results, sister watcher status, notification history, and technical request metadata such as IP address and timestamps.
Legal Basis
Processing is based on operating and securing an invitation-only monitoring system and restricting access to authorized users. Where consent is requested in future features, it can be withdrawn for future processing.
Cookies And Local Storage
Heimdall uses necessary authentication cookies for login sessions and browser local storage for UI preferences such as the selected availability range. No advertising, analytics, profiling, or tracking cookies are used.
Recipients
Data is stored on the Heimdall server. Alert emails are sent through the configured SMTP provider, so email addresses and alert content may be processed by that provider.
Retention
Login tokens expire automatically. Sessions expire according to the configured session duration. Monitoring history, incidents, and notification history are retained according to the configured retention and rollup settings.
Your Rights
You can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection regarding your personal data. You also have the right to complain to a competent data protection supervisory authority.
